Domain Name

Free:

Most services won't give you a free domain name, such as mysite.xyz. You'll probably need to tell people to visit your website at an address like www.geocities.com/your-Yahoo-ID which may not be easy to remember. (Microsoft Office Live Small Business is one of the exceptions. But Microsoft could change their mind and start charging you.)

Paid:

As long as you keep paying your bills, you'll keep the same domain name forever. If you aren't happy with your current registrar or hosting company, you can move to a new one with no service interruption. (Moving takes some preparation and planning. sites4people.com can help.)
