Free vs. paid websites:
Which is right for you?

Your pages may have advertisements -- even irritating, distracting flashing ads.

Your content may be limited. For instance, directNIC won't allow users of their almost-free hosting to link to an anchor (a particular place in the middle of a webpage) because that would let viewers bypass the ads.

The only content on your pages will be what you put there. (That can include ads that are supplied by companies like Google, as well as ads from more-specialized companies like InfoHub, that pay you to put ads on your pages.)
